We are happy to announce the launch of an election for four places on the WFSJ board. The application process will be fully independent and overseen by a nomination committee – Lisbeth Fog (Colombia), Diran Onifade (Nigeria) and Pallab Ghosh (UK).
Please find attached a message from the nomination committee, along with the details of the nomination process and election timeline. It is our intention as a board that this election will mark a new era in governance of the Federation, a reset in relations between the member associations.During this year’s AGM (November 20), the board will put forward a proposal to increase the accountability of the board and officers of the federation. We plan to bring member associations into the decision-making process, giving you the chance to review board decisions and request changes if you see fit. Alongside the AGM, the board plans to hold regular open meetings with member associations where we explain our actions and listen to your suggestions and feedback. In its first meeting following the AGM, the new board will then choose a President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer.
Many thanks,
Ben Deighton
